About Us Equestrian Design is based in Warrington and we offer our services not only to the North West, but also throughout the rest of England and Wales. We pride ourselves on the standard of customer service and accuracy of advice that we provide. Our services are typically offered to private individuals who want to gain planning permission for Equestrian needs, such as the construction of Stables, Menages, American Barns etc and we have also successfully completed many applications for commercial enterprises such as livery yards and riding schools as well.

Equestrian Design offers a range of services, including general planning advice, preparation of planning and building regulations applications, liaison with the Local Planning Authority during the application process, general construction advice, project management, help with selection of suppliers and contractors and project management. We feel that by tailoring our services to meet the needs of individual clients, we can give the best customer service possible.

Equestrian Design is headed by Andy Woodward, an Affiliate Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and an Incorporated Engineer. Andy has over 25 years experience, in the provision of architectural and planning services to the Equestrian, agricultural and general residential sectors. He has a long and established history of successful planning applications and satisfied customers, including many developments within the green belt. During his time working in the industry, one of the things that Andy has found continues to frustrate his customers, is their lack of understanding of the planning requirements and procedures, which is more often than not caused by poor advice from others and this seems to be particularly true for Equestrian developments.  

Our applications are extremely thorough in the way in which they are compiled and as a consequence we can demonstrate a number of successful planning applications, where other organisations or individuals have previously failed. On a number of occasions we have been asked to deal with the satisfaction of planning conditions that have been attached to a planning approval that should or could have been dealt with during the application process and we have also successfully completed planning appeals against previously refused applications.
